Follow Up VISITS

Frequent adjustments are needed to replace worn rubber bands, check on progress, and make adjustments to the wires, assuring teeth are being directed properly. Skipping follow up appointments can hinder progress and may result in a longer treatment time.

Follow up appointments are usually scheduled every 4-6 weeks and generally last 20 minutes. Each regular adjustment may result in discomfort that should only last for a day or so. When experiencing post-adjustment discomfort, return to a soft food diet and pain management techniques given by the orthodontic team.
