Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.  Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. - Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do for a living is the business of heaven, and therefore worthy of your enthusiasm.  This means your primary motivation to work is not simply to earn money and buy things, but to honor me and benefit others.  It means that your boss is not your boss; Christ is.  Your company does not provide for you; Christ does.  It means your success is not the result of personal achievement, but a gift of my grace. Whatever you do today - whether you're doing the dishes, running a corporation, selling products, or serving food - you can do it all for my glory.  I infuse the whole landscape of human experience with my glory, making every legitimate human employment a holy calling.  If you belong to me, your job is not just a job; it's a calling.  It is my grace entering into your experience and thereby giving it significance.
